For each visitor to the dnn.nyssa.org site, our web server automatically recognizes only the consumer”s domain name, but not the email address.
We collect the domain name and email address of visitors to our webpage, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user-specific information on what pages consumers access or visit; information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations; and name and address, telephone number, fax number, payment information (e.g., billing address).
NYSSA does not store certain personally identifiable information, such as credit card numbers. NYSSA does not collect Social Security numbers.
The information we collect is used to:
Improve the content of our webpage,
Notify consumers about updates to our Web site
Contact consumers for marketing purposes
When legally required to do so, disclose information at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation

NYSSA does not sell its membership mailing list to third parties. NYSSA may send conference attendees a single marketing email on behalf of a sponsoring company.
NYSSA does not partner with nor have special relationships with any ad server companies.
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our website to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check our website periodically.
Members and registered NYSSA website users who have a profile with NYSSA may update their profiles or opt-out of any of these preferences online. To do so go to dnn.nyssa.org and click on the “My Account” link located in the upper right-hand corner of the NYSSA website. You may also change your preferences by emailing us at the above address, writing to us at the above address, calling us at the above number or editing it online here.
Please be advised that opting out of all NYSSA emails can cause problems if you are a member; the majority of member communications, such as dues renewal notices, are sent via email.
Anyone who has registered for a NYSSA event, whether online or via mail/fax, has a username and password. If you have lost your username or password, they can be reset by clicking the “forgot your password?” link on the log-in page. If you use the eFinancialCareers job board as a job seeker, your username and password are transmitted securely to the company that maintains that area of our site. If you use eFinancialCareers as an employer, you will need to set up a separate account via eFinancialCareers, stored on a separate database maintained by the company that maintains that area of our site.
