Code of Conduct
NYSSA seeks to foster a productive, safe and mutually respectful environment for the presentation and exchange of ideas, opinions and information. All participants, including NYSSA members, registrants, guests, NYSSA staff, speakers and NYSSA Board members who attend a NYSSA sponsored or hosted event or meeting or who use NYSSA facilities are expected to display proper decorum. Unacceptable behavior that could be considered in violation of this Code of Conduct includes (but is not limited to):
- Making libelous or knowingly false statements
- Violating confidentiality terms and/or the privacy of others
- Infringing upon any copyright, trademark, or trade secret of another party*
- Tampering with equipment or defacing property
- Harassing, intimidating or threatening others
- Engaging in disorderly behavior, including asking disruptive questions and/or making inappropriate comments or physical gestures
NYSSA reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether any behavior at any NYSSA event or meeting, or at any NYSSA facility, is unacceptable and in violation of this Code of Conduct. In the event that NYSSA determines that an individual has violated this Code of Conduct or has otherwise engaged in conduct that is deemed to be improper, prejudicial or detrimental, NYSSA reserves the right to (i) remove any such individual from a NYSSA event or meeting, whether such event or meeting is held at NYSSA?s facility or an off-site venue, (ii) bar any individual from attending future NYSSA events or meeting and/or accessing NYSSA facilities in the future, and/or (iii) suspend any such individual”s NYSSA membership or expel such individual from NYSSA.
*Permission must be secured to display, distribute, or use in a presentation any previously published work from another source other than one?s own accompanied with proper acknowledgement.
The dress code in NYSSA facilities and for attendance at programs and events is business casual unless otherwise indicated on an event registration. Collared shirt and dress slacks for gentlemen and similar attire for ladies is recommended.
Cancellations, Refunds & Substitutions
All requests for Withdrawals must be submitted in writing and dated. The date of the request will be the date it is received by NYSSA. Requests may be faxed to (212) 541-4677, or emailed to email@example.com.
Withdrawals from events, live or streaming, are subject to the following policy
24 HOURS ADVANCED NOTICE OR MORE: Credit to be issued (to be used within 6 months)
LESS THAN 24 HOURS OR AFTER EVENT HAS STARTED: No refund
Access To Our Facilities
We will update security/ID card info soon.
Members of the press, with proper credentials, may attend this conference at no charge subject to space availability. Please attach a business card to the registration form and mail or fax it to NYSSA.
Continuing Education Credits
As a participant in the CFA Institute Approved-Provider Society Program, the New York Society of Security Analysts has determined that certain events qualify for credit for the CFA Institute CE Program. As a courtesy to attendees, NYSSA will provide CFA Institute with a list of members who attended those courses eligible for CEs. The CE credit hours earned will be auto-entered into each CFA Institute member?s web-based CE diary.

New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA) is registered with GARP as a Provider of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. If you are a GARP CPE participant, please log onto your Activity Log to record your activities.

Certificates of attendance are available for those members who need documentation of continuing education credits for their employer or another member organization. Email requests to email@example.com.
