NYSSA’s Value Investing Committee presents

The Human Side of Investing: Theory and Practice

Thursday April 5, 2012 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
NYSSA Conference Center
Available as: Live Session;
Categories: Investment Strategy, Portfolio & Risk Management, Seminar, Value Investing

Most investing education focuses on accounting, financial analysis, or capital market theory. But an investor’s relative performance will be determined largely by another factor: the human side of investing. Perhaps markets would function more smoothly if the participants were rational, objective, and unemotional players—but they’re not. To attain superior performance, you need a better understanding of the divergence between theory and real-world practice, and must learn to control the human emotions that cause investors to stray from the path of rational investing. Register now to hear legendary value investor Howard Marks offer his unique take on successful value investing at this program.

Who Should Attend?

Investors, security analysts, portfolio manager, and academics.
