How to Analyze a 10(k)

Don’t make the mistake of going directly to the numbers and not reading the details of a company’s form 10(k). Gain a greater understanding of accounting and financial statement concepts to identify and analyze the key components of a 10(k) SEC filing. Become more efficient by focusing on the management discussion, financial condition, and results, with an emphasis on identifying the critical information disclosed within the countless footnotes. Work in small groups to compare and contrast several 10(k)s, then analyze and present the results.
