Securitization and Mortgage-Backed Securities

Securitized assets comprise some of the largest and most important financial markets. Attain a solid foundation of the securitization process and the wide variety of accompanying products. Examine the intricacies of modeling and valuation of securitized products such as mortgage-backed, asset backed, and collateralized debt obligations (CDO). Analyze cash flow distribution of mortgage-backed securities (MBS), collateralized mortgage obligations (CMO), interest-only and principal-only (IO/ PO) strips, and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS). Identify the accompanying implications for pricing, spread analysis, and prepayments. Pinpoint the risk factors, pricing and valuation challenges of the constantly evolving securitization landscape.
