Credit Analysis and Credit Risk Management
Measuring and managing credit risk are among the major challenges for
any lender. Credit analysis and risk management draw heavily on the hard
sciences of accounting, finance, derivatives, and quantitative methods.
Uncover the process of credit analysis by evaluating financial ratios,
cash flows, and the firm’s objectives compared to its industry
peers. Assess hedging techniques and the suitability of credit
derivative products to hedge credit risk. Using both conceptual and
numerical examples, analyze the interaction among credit risk and other
types of risk and identify accounting and financial
“shenanigans.”
