NYSSA’s Career Development Committee
presents
Federal Careers Day II: Opportunities for Financial
Professionals
This event is closed. We will not be
accepting walk-ins.
With the jobless rate rising from 9.5 percent in July to 10.3 percent
in August—the highest it’s been since 1993—federal
government agencies continue expanding, propelled by a growing call to
action in terms of stricter federal oversight and tighter rules
governing our financial institutions.
Treasury’s new Office of Financial Stability, the Federal
Deposit Insurance Corporation, and even the Federal Bureau of
Investigation are actively recruiting financial professionals. At this
seminar, meet recruiters that regulate or analyze financial activities
or investigate financial crimes.
Agencies include:
-
Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)
-
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
-
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) cancelled
-
Federal Housing Finance Agency
-
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
