NYSSA Announces Final
Four in 8th Annual Challenge
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The New York
Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA) announced today the four finalist
teams for its 8th Annual Investment Research Challenge.
Student teams from Cornell University’s Johnson School; Fordham
University’s College of Business Administration; Rutgers Business
School-Newark and New Brunswick; and Stony Brook University will present
their research to a panel of senior Wall Street executives on February
25.
The Investment Research Challenge is a six-month educational
initiative in which leading industry professionals teach business and
finance students best practices in researching and reporting on a
publicly traded company.
The Gold Sponsor, EDGAR Online is supplying students with access to

applications and analytical tools that facilitate research. Thomson

The field of sixteen top area business schools was narrowed down to
the “Final Four” on the basis of written reports and
presentations on subject company, Bitstream (NASDAQ: BITS). Bitstream is
a software development company focused on bringing unique software
products to a wide variety of markets. The company’s core software

browsing software, and variable data publishing and web-to-print
software for personalized marketing.
The four teams will each have 20 minutes to convince the panel of the
merits of the investment recommendations found in their written
reports.
The winner of the NYSSA IRC will compete in CFA Institute’s
Global Investment Research Challenge on April 17, 2010 in Hong Kong.
To reach the finals, these four teams bested students from the
Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College of CUNY; Columbia Business
School; the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, Fairfield University;
the Frank G. Zarb School of Business, Hofstra University; the Hagan
School of Business, Iona College; the Stern School of Business, New York
University; the Lubin School of Business, Pace University; the Stillman
School of Business, Seton Hall University; the Peter J. Tobin College of
Business, St. John’s University; the College of Business,
Quinnipiac University; the Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business,
William Patterson University; and Yale University.
