Corporate Valuations Methodologies

Go beyond financial ratios and apply fundamental analysis and real-world methods of evaluating a company’s intrinsic value.   Review comparables, discounted cash-flow analysis, and leveraged-buyout analysis.  Then perform the following valuation modeling techniques in Excel: trading statistics, trading comps, reference range analysis, football field construction, and WACC calculation.  Although given in the context of M&A, these tools are useful for any financial professional interested in analyzing a company.

*Bring your PC laptop with Microsoft Excel installed and a CD-ROM drive. (Excel 2007, Vista, and Macs may not be as effective.)

Prerequisite:This is a technical workshop, and intermediate proficiency using Excel is required. NYSSA’s “Basic Financial Modeling Using Excel” is recommended.
